✏️ Here are some sketches from last week’s sketch-along. We drew FOREST CREATURES! I ended up liking the jack-a-lope reference so much that I continued working on it after our sketch-along. 😍✏️

This week we are drawing…
Fairies!! 🧚♀️ Tinkerbell, eat your heart out!
This month is all about drawing different mythical creatures as a homage to the classic art challenge, Mermay! This is the last week in our magical mythical creature month and we’re ending it with some of the most identifiable magical beings of all, fairies! They’re in almost every culture and can take many forms and shapes, some being ethereal while others are grotesque. Sounds like fun!
✏️Drawing references?
We’ll be referencing from…
Everywhere! Pinterest, books, concept art, ancient depictions. We’ll have a couple of more detailed references to pull from, and I might include some real-world wildlife photography to help spark our imagination.
Make sure to bring along your art supplies! We’ll be drawing in longer timed sprints so bring your slower drawing supplies: paints, watercolor pencils, wax crayons, etc!~
